WINNIPEG, Feb. 26 (CNS Canada) The Canadian dollar was slightly weaker Monday morning, as losses in crude oil weighed on the energy-linked currency.
At 9:00 CST Monday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7879 or C$1.2692, which compares with Friday’s North American close of US$0.7894 or C$1.2668.
Canada’s Liberal government is set to reveal its latest federal budget on Tuesday, and investors will be combing the document closely for signs of its impact on the economy.
There were no significant domestic economic releases Monday morning.
The TSX was stronger at 9:00 CST, up 44.87 points at 15,683.32.
