The Amazone Pantera 4503 sprayer has one of the most advanced nozzle bodies on the market, which automatically changes between its four nozzles, including spray from two nozzles at the same time. | Robin Booker photo

Pantera sprayers include flexible application

Nozzles are selectable or can be grouped on the fly automatically, including features such as turn compensation

The nozzle body on the Amazone Pantera 4503 self-propelled sprayer automatically switches between four nozzles, to ensure produce is applied uniformly even around tight turns. Pulse width modulation allows turn compensation in competing sprayers, but this technology is limited when product is applied through one nozzle. John Deere’s ExactApply can spray with two nozzles in […] Read more

Autonomous equipment gets more work

St. Louis, Mo. — Similar to how custom harvest operations travel across North America following crops as they ripen, fleets of robot planters will follow favourable planting conditions in the spring, if the business plan of Sabanto Ag gets traction. The company is managed by Craig Rupp and Kyler Laird, who met at an agBOT […] Read more

The Nova’s two available boom widths are 24 meters (79 feet) or 39 metres (128 feet). The aluminium boom has Lemken’s Adaptive Balancing Control with automatic, proactive guidance that keeps it in an optimum position and maintains the correct distance to the target’s surface. Better system visibility boosts farm safety

Canada had 843 farm fatalities between 2003 and 2012, of which 600 involved implements. More than 17 percent of all deaths were run-overs attributed to drivers not seeing the victim. Farming is the third most hazardous industry in Canada, due in part to the fact that it needs large implements that can prevent the operator […] Read more

Easyconnect seals chemical transfer

It’s not often we see major crop protection companies work together on technology, but that’s what’s happening as they develop a new universal closed transfer system (CTS) for chemicals. The CTS Easyconnect consists of a specially designed fill valve that creates a sealed connection between the CTS and the chemical container. The chemical container is […] Read more
