The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts on April 4 was $67.79. It was not available on March 28.
U.S. hogs averaged was $87.40 on a carcass basis on April 4, down from $88.30 on March 28.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices for finished bulls $615 to $655 per cwt., hot hanging weight. Finished heifers were $575 to $620 cwt. Mature bulls were $460 to $510, while mature cows were $460 to $510 cwt.
Carcass prices for bison being sold into the U.S. were US$475 to US$490 for bulls per cwt. Heifers were US$445 to US$465 per cwt. Mature bulls were not available while mature cows were not available. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were $3.66 per pound for bulls and $3.33 per pound for heifers of good quality or better. Mixed live animal price was not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 145 sheep, and 436 lambs sold on March 31.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alberta reported 509 sheep, and 176 goats sold March 31.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $390-$470 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $400-$455, 70-85 lb. were $390-$480, 86-105 lb. were $355-$435, and 106 lb. and heavier were $285-$350. Wool rams were $170-$240 per cwt. Cull ewes were $130-$300.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $370-$495, 55-69 lb. were $350-$495, 70-85 lb. were $380-$435, 86-105 lb. were $335-$400 and 106 lb. and heavier were $260-$335. Hair rams were $170-$235 per cwt. Cull ewes were $160-$255.
