The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts on Feb. 21 was $67.43. It was not available Feb. 14.
U.S. hogs averaged $90.08 on a carcass basis Feb. 21, up from $88.23 Feb. 14.

The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 21 was 2.411 million. It was 2.437 million the previous week.

In Canada, the Feb. 22 Signature Four price was $226.42 per 100 kilograms, up from $223.11.
The Feb. 22 Hams Marketing cash price was $224.42, while on Feb. 15 was $217.85. HyLife was $240.72 this week and $234.44 Feb. 15. OlyWest was $228.30, up from $221.40 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was up, at $241, from $232.70, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $242.30 this week. On Feb. 15 it was $242.01.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $570-$600 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $535 to $600 per cwt. for finished heifers. Prices for mature bulls were not available, while mature cows were $425-$450 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$440-$460 per cwt. for bulls and $425-$445 per cwt. for heifers.
Prices for mature and cows were not available.
All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were C$3 per pound for bulls and $2.70 per lb. for heifers of good quality or better.
The mixed live animal price was not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 335 sheep and 243 lambs sold Feb. 10.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,246 sheep and 39 goats sold Feb. 10.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $380-$450 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $390-$450, 70-85 lb. were $350-$435, 86-105 lb. were $310-$395, and 106 lb. and heavier were $290-$350. Wool rams were $180-$245 per cwt. Cull ewes were $140-$270.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $320-$390, 55-69 lb. were $340-$415, 70-85 lb. were $350-$410, 86-105 lb. were $290-$375 and 106 lb. and heavier were $280-$345. Hair rams were $150-$225 per cwt. Cull ewes were $185-$320.
