The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available July 28 or July 21.
U.S. hogs averaged $100.47 on a carcass basis July 28, down from $101.03 July 21.
The U.S. pork cutout was $ 113.47 per hundredweight July 28, down from $115.25 July 21.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to July 28 was 2.310 million. It was 2.248 million the previous week. Slaughter was 2.282 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the July 29 Signature Four price was $245.92 per 100 kilograms, up from $240.59.

The July 29 Hams Marketing cash price was $242.62, up from $237.15 and HyLife was $260.68 this week, up from $255.12 July 22. OlyWest was $247.20, up from $$239.70.
OlyWest 2021 was up at $256.90 from $251.20 and HyLife’s adjusted price was $261.54, up from $255.73 July 22.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 543 sheep and 665 lambs sold July 24.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,516 sheep and 416 goats sold July 17.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$295 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $210-$235, 70-85 lb. were $200-$235, 86-105 lb. were $200-$246, and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$239. Wool rams were $100-$179 per cwt. Cull ewes were $85-$161.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $190-$245, 55-69 lb. were $190-$225, 70-85 lb. were $190-$235, 86-105 lb. were $200-$236 and 106 lb. and heavier were $200-$228. Hair rams were $110-$140 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$145.
