HOGS WEAKER
U.S. hog prices fell last week because supply was adequate to meet packer needs. Prices traditionally weaken this time of year before strengthening after the U.S. Thanksgiving.
Ron Plain of the University of Missouri said daily U.S. pork production averaged 21 percent more over the last four weeks than during late July and early August.
Iowa-southern Minnesota cash hogs delivered to plants fell to $45- $46 US per hundredweight Nov. 19 from $48 to $48.50 Nov. 12.
The U.S. pork carcass cut-out value rose to $77.84, up from $76.78 Nov. 12.

BISON PRICES STAY STRONG
The bison report was unavailable . Two weeks ago grade A bulls in the desirable weight range were $3 to $3.45 per pound hot hanging weight and heifers were $3 to $3.45.
LAMBS STRONGER
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported 734 sheep and 184 goats sold Nov. 15.
Wool lambs lighter than 70 lb. were $182-$194 per cwt., 70-85 lb. were $163-$175, 86-105 lb. were $140- $158, and 106 lb. and heavier were $127-$140.
Wool rams were $73-$85 per cwt. Cull ewes were $68-$80 and bred ewes were $90-$105.
Hair lambs lighter than 70 lb. were $180-$200 per cwt., 70-85 lb. were $164-$180, 86-105 lb. were $131- $141 and 106 lb. and heavier were $125-$137.
Hair rams were $71-$90 per cwt. Cull ewes were $72-$85.
Good kid goats lighter than 50 lb. were $135-$175. Those heavier than 50 lb. were $150-$200 per cwt. Nannies were $64-$82 per cwt. Billies were $112.50-$140.
Ontario Stockyards reported 1,872 sheep and lambs and 516 goats traded Nov. 15. Light lambs sold steady while heavy animals were $10-$15 cwt. higher. Good sheep traded $5-$7 cwt. higher. Good goats sold strong.
