The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $81.21 Sept. 17. It was $78.37 Sept. 9.
U.S. hogs averaged $106.71 on a carcass basis Sept. 17, up from $106.10 Sept. 9.

The U.S. pork cut-out was $110.98 per hundredweight Sept. 17, down from $114.16 Sept. 9.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Sept. 17 was 1.464 million. It was 1.460 million the previous week.

In Canada, the Sept. 13 Signature Four price was $253.78 per 100 kilograms, up from $253.43.
The Sept. 13 Hams Marketing cash price was $251.78, while on Sept. 6 it was $251.79. HyLife was $269.67 this week, while on Sept. 6 it was $269.12. Lowest was $263, down from $263.60 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was up, at $270.50, from $268.70, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $270.45 this week. On Sept. 6 it was $268.70.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $645-$700 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $620-$665 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls and cows were $500-$550 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$495-$510 per cwt. for bulls and $455-$480 per cwt. for heifers.
Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 315 sheep and 404 lambs sold Sept. 15.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 2,366 sheep and 448 goats sold Sept. 15.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $360-$445 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $330-$410, 70-85 lb. were $295-$342, 86-105 lb. were $260-$307, and 106 lb. and heavier were $240-$288. Wool rams were $160-$235 per cwt. Cull ewes were $160-$260.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $290-$395, 55-69 lb. were $290-$350, 70-85 lb. were $290-$330, 86-105 lb. were $260-$315 and 106 lb. and heavier were $230-$285. Hair rams were $170-$290 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$255.
