Another case of anthrax in cattle was confirmed Sept. 2 in the Saskatchewan Rural Municipality of Fillmore.

It is the second farm in the RM to lose cattle to the soil-borne disease. The other also lost horses.

Four cases have been confirmed. One of the farms was a bison operation.

Canadian Food Inspection Agency officials said earlier this year that anthrax was likely to be a concern given the amount of rain and soil disturbance.
