Most of the bison that wandered into Camrose Aug. 24 have been rounded up or wandered back to the farm.
Thirty to 40 bison from a farm northeast of the city walked through an open gate the previous day. About a dozen wandered into city limits, giving residents an early morning surprise.
Some of the bison stopped to graze in a schoolyard, some were seen by the downtown courthouse and on the golf course and others wandered onto the Nordic ski trails or set up camp at the Big Valley Jamboree campground.
