The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts on April 11 was not available. It was $67.79 on April 4.
U.S. hogs averaged was $83.10 on a carcass basis on April 11, down from $87.40 on April 4.

The April 12 Hams Marketing cash price was $218.29, on April 5 was $221.61. HyLife was $233.13 this week; it was $237.16 on April 5. OlyWest was $226.80, down from $228.90 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was down, at $235.20 from $237.50 and HyLife’s adjusted price was $233.13 this week. April 5 it was $237.16.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices for finished bulls $625 to $675 per cwt. Finished heifers were $600 to $650 cwt. Mature bulls were $480 to $525, while mature cows were $480 to $525 cwt. Carcass prices for bison being sold into the U.S. were US$475 to US$490 for bulls per cwt. Heifers were US$445 to US$465 per cwt. Mature bulls were not available while mature cows were not available. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were $5.95 per pound for bulls and $4.69 per pound for heifers of good quality or better. Mixed live animal price was not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 298 sheep, and 1,599 lambs sold on April 7. Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alberta reported 777 sheep, and 255 goats sold April 7.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $390-$470 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $400-$475, 70-85 lb. were $370-$440, 86-105 lb. were $355-$422, and 106 lb. and heavier were $285-$360. Wool rams were $150-$270 per cwt. Cull ewes were $130-$300.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $360-$460, 55-69 lb. were $360-$475, 70-85 lb. were $350-$415, 86-105 lb. were $335-$375 and 106 lb. and heavier were $260-$340. Hair rams were $185-$315 per cwt. Cull ewes were $140-$300.
