Accurate accounting, inventory records are important
Maintaining detailed accounting and inventory records is not just a best practice; it’s a critical component of financial health, operational efficiency and compliance with programs like AgriStability.
The two will be joined by three other farm women from Eastern Canada in attending the Simmons School of Management’s leadership conference for women to be held in early May in Boston, Massachusetts.
FCC vice-president Kellie Garrett said the five winners were selected from 50 nominations because they are role models.
“All have selflessly given their time and talents to benefit others. They deserve to be rewarded for their accomplishments and are shining examples of how agriculture is a viable career for women.”
The award is named for Davis, who was the first female chair of the FCC’s board of directors. This is the second year the awards have been given.
