Applications are now open for the Cattlemen’s Young Leaders program.

The program is open to 18- to 35-year-old beef producers who want to develop their leadership skills and become involved with the industry on a national and international basis.

Successful applicants will be paired with mentors who provide guidance in their area of interest.

Sixteen people are selected and each receives a $2,000 budget to attend industry events, including the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association convention, International Livestock Congress and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association annual meeting.

The program receives support from the CCA, Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency, Cargill and UFA.

Applications must be submitted by Jan. 25.
