Viterra Inc. plans to build a full service retail centre in Sexsmith, Alta., along side the high throughput elevator it is building there.
It expects to offer seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, ag equipment, financing and agronomic advice.
The facility, about 25 kilometres north of Grand Prairie, will include a high throughput fertilizer plant along with a 20,000 sq. foot warehouse.
Construction is expected to begin in spring and scheduled for completion in fall.
The company’s grain elevator is slated to open ahead of schedule this June.
