KIEV, Aug 9 (Reuters) – Ukraine’s 2016 grain harvest could reach 60.8 million tonnes, similar to last year’s crop, thanks to a high output of wheat and corn.
Of the total, the corn harvest forecast was at 24 million tonnes, Tetyana Adamenko, the head of the agriculture department for the state weather centre, told Reuters on Tuesday.
Ukraine, among top three global grain exporters, harvested around 60 million tonnes of grain in 2015.
