RBC Beef Supreme winners announced

A Hereford bull and a Charolais cow-calf pair won this year’s RBC Beef Supreme honours at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina Nov. 24.

Grant Hirsche of High River, Alta., was at the halter of a two year old horned Hereford named UPS Uptown ET. Hirsche owns the Hereford in partnership with WSV Farm and Ranch LLC and Upstream Ranch. This bull was also grand champion at Agribition and this year’s world Hereford conference in Olds.

Dennis Serhienko and Voegeli Cattle Co. of Maymont, Sask., along with partners Michelson Land and Cattle, McAvoy Charolais and Medonte Charolais had the supreme female with a heifer calf at side. The Serhienko family won this award two years ago with the mother of this year’s winner.
