The Canadian Wheat Board announced the initial payments for the 2011-12 crop year on Monday.
No. 1 CW red spring wheat 12.5 percent protein will be $208 per tonne at port.
Prices are much higher than they were at this time last year.
When the CWB announced initials for 2010-11 last July the payment for that grade was $128 per tonne at port.
Other initials for 2011-12 are as follows:
No. 1 CW durum 12.5 percent protein $215 per tonne
Select CW two-row barley $230 per tonne.
No. 1 CW feed barley pool A $155 per tonne.
