SOUTHWEST
The first killing frost allowed for good harvest progress until precipitation occurred with amounts varying from trace to 20 millimetres.
Harvest is approaching completion for spring cereals and canola. Canola is yielding above long-term averages.
Flax and soybeans are underway, while corn and sunflower crops continue to dry down.
Winter wheat and fall rye seeding is complete with seeded acreage notably up over last year.
NORTHWEST
Good harvest progress was made until rain of 10 to 25 mm.
Producers are working on soybeans while flax, buckwheat and grain corn remain to be harvested.

CENTRAL
Precipitation varied from five to 10 mm and somewhat limited harvest progress.
Most cereals crops, canola, flax, edible bean, corn silage and third cut hay are completed.
Sunflowers and soybeans continue and the corn harvest is underway.
Fall rye and winter wheat are germinated and emerging well with recent rains.
EASTERN
Limited precipitation did little to slow down harvest and fieldwork.
Soybean harvest is about 75 percent complete as compared to 60 percent for sunflowers.
Most winter wheat fields are well established and some herbicide applications have occurred to control volunteer canola.
Pasture conditions are rated 60 percent good.
INTERLAKE
Strong winds, low humidity, seasonal temperatures and minimal precipitation allowed producers to make good harvest progress, which is about 88 percent complete.
Soybean and sunflower harvest continues. There are trace amounts of spring cereals, canola and flax crops and alfalfa seed fields remaining.
Field tillage is about one-third complete.
Favourable weather conditions are allowing second and third cut alfalfa harvest.
