SOUTHWEST
Harvest slowed with precipitation that ranged from 15 to 50 millimetres but also reached more than 100 mm in some areas.
Quality loss is noted in all spring cereals because of staining and sprouting.
Little canola is harvested, and there are green issues where swathing occurred during high temperatures.
The field pea harvest is complete with most yields above long-term averages.
Second cut alfalfa and greenfeed silage yields are average to above average.
NORTHWEST
Precipitation varied from 12 to 51 mm, which stalled harvest progress.

EASTERN
Precipitation halted harvesting and field work with accumulations of 25 to 80 mm.
Spring wheat yields are averaging 55 bu. per acre, oats 110 bu. per acre and canola 40 bu. per acre.
Third cut alfalfa is coming off while some producers are having trouble putting up their first cut grass hay.
Straw, greenfeed and feed grain supplies are adequate.
INTERLAKE
Most areas received 15 to 40 mm of precipitation along with strong winds.
Thirty-five to 55 percent of the crop is in the bin, but bin aeration and grain dryers are helping manage moisture levels.
Some canola fields that were desiccated for straight cutting have been left standing for 15 to 18 days.
Most greenfeed crops are harvested and second cut hay has good yields. Corn silage yield is also looking promising.
