The federal government has approved the initial payment increases recommended by the Canadian Wheat Board.
The increases take effect Dec. 2.
The increases range from $42.45 to $91.30 per tonne for wheat depending on grade and class, with the highest amounts going to high protein.
The increase for durum ranges from $44.40 to $70 per tonne. Pool A feed barley climbs $60 and the increase for designated barley ranges from $50 to $52 per tonne.
Payments for all grains and grades are listed at www.cwb.ca under farmer payments.
No. 1 red spring wheat 12.5 percent protein rises $60 per tonne to $188 at port.
That represents 64 percent of the November pool return outlook.
No. 3 red spring wheat 12.5 percent protein climbs $49.60 to $159.60.
No. 1 durum 12.5 percent protein climbs $70 to $189.
No. 1 feed barley rises $60 to $148.
