Three sisters have died from a farming accident near Rocky Mountain House.
According to RCMP, the three girls were playing in a truck of canola when they were buried and suffocated by the seed.
RCMP and emergency crews were called to the farm near Withrow, Alta., just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Adults at the residence pulled one of the girls, 11, a twin from the truck and she was flown to the Stollery Children’s Hospital by STARS air ambulance. She later died from her injuries.
The other two girls, 11, and 13, died at the scene.
