Winnipeg, July 9 – CWB has raised its price projections for most classes of wheat set to be marketed during the 2015-16 crop year.
Rising U.S. crop futures, dryness in Western Canada, delays in the U.S. winter wheat harvest and hot conditions in Europe were all behind some of the strength in the Pool Return Outlooks, according to the update.
Wheat PROs rose by $25 per tonne, while durum was up by $30 from the previous projections on June 25.
The drought conditions in Western Canada were also cited as a supportive factor for canola sold through CWB pools, with pooled prices up $17 to $18 from the June report.

Manitoba Agriculture issued its final crop report of 2025, showing the overall provincewide harvest at 97 per cent complete as of Oct. 20. Nearly all major crops have finished combining, with 37 per cent of Manitoba’s sunflowers finished, plus 71 per cent of grain corn and small amounts of soybeans and potatoes left to do.
Malting and feed pea PROs were also up, with the dryness issues behind some of the strength.
