The Canadian Wheat Board on Thursday raised wheat and feed barley values in its latest Pool Return Outlook for 2009-10.
Wheat values rose by $1 to $10 per tonne from the October PRO. Durum and malt barley values were unchanged.
Pool A feed barley rose $7 per tonne. The first Pool B feed barley PRO was announced at $152 per tonne.
The board said overall market fundamentals remain weak, despite some strengthening in the past month.
No. 1 Canadian Western Red Spring wheat 13.5 percent protein rose to $249 per tonne at port from $245 in October.
The largest increases were seen in high protein wheat. No 1 CWRS 14.5 percent protein rose $8 to $271. Lower grades increased by smaller amounts.
The $10 increase applied only to soft white spring wheat with less than 9.9 percent protein. Which climbed to $195.
No. 1 durum, 13 percent protein was steady at $216 per tonne.
Feed barley pool A rose to $152 per tonne from $145.
Designated select two-row barley was steady at $208 per tonne and designated select six was steady at $190.
