Canola closes up

At the ICE Canada exchange in Winnipeg on Monday, November canola rose $1.40 per tonne to $440.60 on 7,030 trades.The January contract rose $1.20 to $444.70 on 1,334 trades.The previous day’s best basis was $15.13 per tonne under the November contract in the par region, according to the Winnipeg ICE Futures daily report.The Canadian dollar at noon was 95.11 cents US, down from 95.24 the previous trading day. The U.S. dollar at noon was $1.0514.Winnipeg October barley was steady at $168 and December was also steady at $183.Chicago September soybeans fell 2.25 cents to $10.0700 US per bushel. New-crop November fell 1.5 cents to $10.0550.September oats held steady at $2.7200 per bu. December oats also were steady at $2.8500 per bu. In New York, crude oil for October delivery fell 72 cents to $73.10 US per barrel.
