KIEV, Dec 4 (Reuters) – Ukrainian agriculture consultancy UkrAgroConsult on Monday increased its forecast for Ukraine’s 2017-18 rapeseed exports by about 20 percent to two million tonnes after a bumper harvest.
The rapeseed crop has jumped by 85 percent to 2.2 million tonnes in 2017, the consultancy said in statement, adding that Ukraine had already exported 1.68 million tonnes of the commodity this season.
The Ukrainian rapeseed area increased by 34 percent this year and the yield rose by three percent.
Ukraine exported about 1 million tonnes of rapeseed in 2016-17.
