National Charolais Sale saw a half interest and full possession of a Charolais Bull Calf consigned by Prairie Cove Farm, Bowden, Alta., for $67,500 to Clear Lake Charolais, Tiger Lily, Alta.,. The Charolais Sale also included the sale of a Heifer Calf from Voegeli Bros. Charolais, Maymont, Sask., to B.J. Hannson, Turton, South Dakota for $5,500

A pair of sales at $16,000 topped the Agribition Simmental Sale. Diamond M Simmentals, Estevan, Sask., paid the top price for a Yearling Bull consigned by Remington Land & Cattle, Del Bonita, Alta.,. Ashworth Farming, Oungre, Sask matched the top price with their purchase of a Heifer Calf consigned by Robb Farms, Maidstone, Sask.

A sale to South Australia (S.A.) was the highlight of Agribition`s Shorthorn Sale. The $6,400 sale price for a Bull Calf consigned by Bender Shorthorns, Neudorf, Sask. was also the high sale of the Shorthorn event. The purchaser was a partnership of Belmore Shorthorns, Naracoorte, (S.A.), and Carlton Shorthorns, Hahndorf, (S.A).

Highlights of the Wednesday Masterpiece Angus Sale included highlight sales to New Zealand (an embryo flush consigned by Wilbar Farms for $10,000 ), Scotland (a Bred Black Angus Heifer consigned by Kenbert Acres for for $2,400), and North Dakota (a Red Angus Heifer Calf consigned by Soo Line Cattle Co. for $7,000). The high seller in the Angus sale was a Red Angus Bull which sold for $26,000 to Double Bar D Farms, Grenfell, Sask. The consignor was Dwajo Angus, Camp Creek, Alta.
