Based on what he’s seen across the three Prairie provinces, the region is headed for an average crop over all. Drought conditions are significantly limiting production potential across the south, but those losses are offset by better growing conditions further north.

Burnett warned that while there is upside potential for oilseeds prices, tariff wars and ongoing political uncertainty are keeping the canola market on edge. A record corn crop projected for the U.S. will limit potential gains for cereals.
