Lincoln is offering a new stick welder to go.
The Bulldog 5500 is a 140 amp AC welder capable of arc welding cast iron and mild and stainless steel and providing hard surfacing with 1/8 inch sticks.
The new Bulldog produces a continuous 4,000 watts with a surge capacity of 5,500 to provide electricity for field operated repair tools, compressors and electric motors.
The 240 volt connection makes 16.7 amps available and four 120 volt connections make 33.3 amps available.
An optional ground fault circuit interrupter kit can be added to the auxiliary power circuit. The generator can power smaller units if a MIG welder is needed in the field.
A Kohler 9.5 horsepower, gas engine powers the generator. Noise levels are about 78 dB at 23 feet.
The 200 pound unit has a tubular steel chassis for lifting it into truck beds or onto trailers.
