Tom Wolf’s productivity calculator has moved from the back of an envelope to an app on the web.
“We developed an app that lets applicators figure out how productive their spray operation is,” said Wolf of Agrimetrix.
“We showed they could pay more attention to reducing their down time, filling time and cleaning time. Consequently, they can slow down their spray speed and still get more done.
“By slowing down, they gain a lot of advantages,” Wolf said.
“Lower booms are possible. That improves spray targeting, better uniformity, less drift, less dust, less fuel consumption and less wear and tear on equipment. The list of benefits is a long one.”
