Cargill has become the sole owner of Tri-Way Fertilizer’s crop input business in Balcarres, Sask.

Tri-Way will continue to operate the anhydrous and custom application business until a buyer is found.

Tri-Way Fertilizer was a 50-50 joint venture between producers and Cargill. The grain company has its wholly owned elevator on the same property.

“With this acquisition, the Balcarres location will continue to service all of our customers’ farm needs including grain handling and marketing solutions, agronomy services and crop input solutions,” said Glenn Houser, Cargill AgHorizons’ farm service group manager.
