Manitoba Agriculture issued its final crop report of 2025, showing the overall provincewide harvest at 97 per cent complete as of Oct. 20. Nearly all major crops have finished combining, with 37 per cent of Manitoba’s sunflowers finished, plus 71 per cent of grain corn and small amounts of soybeans and potatoes left to do.

ICE canola weekly outlook: Off lows, but sideways trade likely
Canola futures trended higher during the week ended Oct. 15, with the November contract settling above its 20-day moving average for the first time in nearly a month. China’s canola, soybeans imports to drop one million tonnes each
China is expected to import one million tonnes less of canola in 2025/26 than in the previous marketing year, the United States Department of Agriculture attaché in Beijing projected. China was projected to acquire 3.10 million tonnes of canola this year versus 4.10 million in 2024/25.
