The Prairies are mostly dry this morning, but the next system to enter the northern Prairies is currently hitting the northern B.C. coast. This system is expected to track across the north and will cause a cold front to drop through the Prairies early next week. The cold front will bring scattered snow across the central Prairies with water equivalent precipitation expected to range from 5 to 20 mm.

GOOD MORNING…HERE IS YOUR MORNING MARKET NEWS OVERNIGHT GRAIN TRADE Grain markets are in the green to start this morning….

Temperatures across the Prairies will be mostly in the low single digits today and tomorrow. The mild weather will continue through the weekend with highs mostly above the freezing mark. The cold front will push through the Prairies on Monday bringing scattered light to moderate snowfall to the central growing areas. Highs will drop to the mid-negative single digits durign the middle of next week and will eventually settle at the mid-negative teens by late in the week.

The long-term forecast remains consistent with a trough expected to develop in the centre of North America which is bringing cold artic air into the Prairies. This is consistent with the current winter forecasts calling for cold conditions during at least the first half of winter. The trough will bring increased chances of snowfall across the Prairies during the first week of December.
