Temperatures will be mostly in the  upper single digits today as a cold airmass settles in the region. Temperatures are expected to increase during the week with highs mostly in the low teens from Wednesday through the weekend. A significant cool down is expected on Sunday with temperatures dropping back to the mid to upper single digits.

The long-term forecast is calling for the development of a ridge in Western Canada, which should bring drier weather and warmer temperatures through the end of the month. The ridge should keep the chances of a harvest season ending snowfall to a minimum through the end of the month. Normal temperatures for this time of year are mostly in the 9 to 12C range. Average temperatures drop rapidly during the last half of the month.
