Buhler Industries, whose brands include Versatile tractors and Farm King, posted record year-end sales and improved profits.

The company’s profit in the year ending Sept. 30 was $11.9 million, up 45 percent from the year before.

Total revenue was $284.7 million, up 36 percent from the year before.

The company said the improved results were due to recovery of the overseas market and demand for the sprayer line introduced in 2010. Results were also supported by acquisitions of seeding and tillage lines 2011 and the relationship with Westeel grain bins introduced during the year.

Results for 2012 are expected to improve again with improved demand for tractors and sprayers domestically and overseas, the company said in a news release.

Seeding and tillage equipment sales are projected to grow as the result of the 2011 acquisition of Ezee-On. It also expects good things from its partnership with Westeel.
