Canadian Wheat Board initial payments for wheat, durum and feed barley for the 2010-11 crop year increased April 1.
The increase will be $23.30 to $49.80 per tonne for wheat depending on grade and class, $16 to $30 per tonne for durum and $75 per tonne for Pool B feed barley.
The initial payment for No 1 CW red spring wheat 12.5 percent protein will increase $33.30 to $258.50 per tonne at port. That compares to the Pool Return Outlook of $317.
No. 1 CW durum 12.5 percent protein increases $30 to $252.50. The PRO is $290.
No. 1 CW feed barley rises $75 to $205 per tonne. The PRO is $238.
Payments for grain already delivered will be deposited in farmers’ accounts April 12. Cheques will be mailed April 15.
