The Cattlemen’s Young Leaders development program has announced industry leaders who will mentor the young Alberta participants in the pilot phase of the initiative.
The young leaders program, a national youth initiative of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, provides training and mentorship opportunities to producers between the ages of 18 and 35.
Here are the program mentors:
• Dr. Michael Jelinski and Dr. Craig Dorin will mentor Ricki Fleming in the animal health area.
• Judy Nelson will mentor Nanita Blomquist in the beef marketing area.
• Brad Wildeman will mentor Keith Ypma on domestic and foreign trade issues.
• Scott Entz and Derek Hill are mentoring Cody Schooten in the area of beef marketing.
• Diane Finstad will mentor Rosie Templeton in the communications field.
• Jordan Buba will mentor Samantha Sperber on operating a seed stock operation.
