Harvest in Saskatchewan progressed by only one percentage point in the past week due to wet weather, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s weekly crop report. Fourteen percent of the 2010 crop has been combined, and an additional 36 percent is swathed or ready to straight combine.Thirteen percent had been combined in the previous week.The five-year provincial average (2005-09) for this time of year is 51 percent combined and an additional 30 percent swathed or ready to straight combine. The most progress during the week was made in swathing canola.Rain and disease are damaging quality.Harvest is most advanced in the south, where more than 20 percent is in the bin. Only six percent has been combined in the northwest.
