Terminal expanding
Gardiner Dam Terminal Joint Venture will build two 5,075 tonne grain storage units at its terminal located near Strongfield, Sask.The terminal is a joint venture between Gardiner Dam Terminal Ltd. and Viterra Inc.Storage capacity will increase to 27,000 tonnes when construction is complete in mid-December.The cost will be about $2.8 million and will be financed through commercial mortgage financing.Shawn Graham, general manager, said the expansion will minimize congestion at peak delivery times.The terminal has also opened a full service crop input centre at Tullis, Sask.The company announced it will pay a $10 per share dividend to A and B shareholders for the year ending Oct. 31, 2009.Consistent performance in both the grain handling and crop input business segments of GDT JV led to record net income and record return of capital to shareholders last year.

Viterra rating upgraded
