The B.C. Cattlemen’s Association recently named Kevin Boon as its new general manager. He will replace retiring manager Bob France.
Boon is a third generation rancher. He was raised on the family ranch in Delia, Alta. The family moved the operations to Tomahawk, Alta., seven years ago.
Next year marks the 100th year the family has been ranching in Alberta.
Boon also has a long record of volunteering within the beef industry. Most recently he served as vice-chair of Alberta Beef Producers.
He has served on several beef industry boards and committees for the Alberta Beef Producers, the Beef Information Centre, the Canada Beef Export Federation and the National Check-off Agency.
