Keller elected president
The Canada West Equipment Dealers Association has elected a new president and board for 1998.
Terry Keller, of Agripower Equipment Ltd. in Kindersley, Sask., is the new president and will oversee construction of a new office complex for the association in Calgary.
The executive committee also includes past-president G. Gale Holroyd, first vice-president Clark Tweed, second vice-president Ed Peterson, director Bill Quinney and executive vice-president John Schmeiser.
Directors from British Columbia are Fraser Morrell and Jim Laird. From Alberta, Marvin Barton, James Kryskow, Bob Thrun and Jim Backus will serve as directors.

Money for conservation
Manitoba’s nine conservation districts received payments totaling $264,500 in the fourth quarter of 1997 to deliver water and soil conservation related programs.
According to Manitoba rural development minister Len Derkach, more than 50 percent of the province’s land resources are now incorporated within conservation districts, and the number is expected to increase this year.
Money will be used on water management and storage, soil conservation and wildlife programs.
Receiving the money are the Alonsa, Cooks Creek, Pembina Valley, Turtle Mountain, Turtle River, Upper Assiniboine River, West Souris, Whitemud Watershed and Intermountain conservation districts.
New wheat directors
Three new directors and an executive have been elected for the Alberta Winter Wheat Producers Commission.
Cliff Tuininga, Doug Wright and Gary Stanford will replace Ike Lanier, Bryan Noble and Norris Tomlinson in their respective districts.
The chair is Bryan Corns, with Allan Gajdostik as vice-chair.
The executive staff includes Corns, Gajdostik, Bob Simmons and Sharol Siewert.
