Most fertilizer prices falling

Fertilizer prices continue to drift lower, according to a survey by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

USDA tracks input costs in Illinois every two weeks.

It says urea 46-0-0 cost $393 to $500 US per short ton April 16. The average was $435, down $4.17 from April 2 and down $42 from March 19.

Anhydrous ammonia was $600 to $795 per short ton, with an average of $655.83, down $1.09 from April 2 and down $52.64 from March 19.

Diammonium phosphate 18-46-0 was $448 to $720 with an average of $525.85, down $11.37 from April 16 and down $21.15 from March 19.
