Jay Dee Equipment Ltd., Green Acres Equipment Ltd., Greenstar Ag & Turf Ltd. and Humboldt Farm Equipment Ltd., all John Deere dealerships in Saskatchewan, have merged to form JayDee AgTech.
The merger of these dealerships in western and central Saskatchewan created one of the largest privately held John Deere dealer organization networks in Canada.
The new name was the result of a contest encouraging submissions from customers and employees, said Duane Smith, general manager.
“We had joint submissions recommending the continued use of Jay Dee as it represents John Deere, our main brand,” he said in a news release.
“Using variations of other submitted names and that our main market is agricultural based and what we sell and service is very technological oriented, we chose the name JayDee AgTech
