Baler makes denser bales
New Holland recently introduced the BR7070 CropCutter model, capable of producing four by six foot roto-cut round bales for dry hay, silage or straw for bedding.
The rotary cutting system, equipped with up to 15 knives, cuts crop as it is fed into the baler. The BR7070 can cut hay as short as 2.5 inches.
CropCutter bales are denser and heavier due to the smaller particle length. In silage, this increased compaction means less air in the bale, resulting in better fermentation. In straw, it results in easier spreading and increased absorbency.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award
Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
Other improvements include a hydraulic bale ejector ramp, stronger shot-peened tines, a bale chamber with two formed ribbed rolls, rather than two dimple rolls and one less spreader roll to improve net loading and spread.

Spray and planter controller
Rinex has introduced the AS7500 controller for auto shutoff.
Primarily designed for boom section shutoff, the AS7500 can also be used on planters fitted with Tru Count clutches.
The unit allows precise switching to minimize overapplication, whether on headlands or around obstacles.
The AS7500 is compatible with any GPS receiver or guidance system. Plug and play cables are available for most spray rate controllers and generic cables can be wired for nearly every other situation that requires automatic section control.

Winter sleds
Koenders had two new plastic sleds – the Universal sled and the Snow Tracker II.
The Universal Sled has moulded runners on the bottom and ribbed sides. It is equipped with a spring-loaded hitch for easy pulling and trailing. Dimensions are 37 inches wide x 10 inches deep x 83 inches long. The inside dimension is 31 inches.
The Snow Tracker II has a cargo capacity of 26 cu. feet. The heavy duty swivel hitch is spring-loaded and detachable. The lid can be used as a second sled.
The sled is made of medium density polyethylene with four moulded-in runners.
Dimensions are 33 inches wide x 72 inches long.
The sled has an optional mush bar.

Product cart
Great Plains now has available the 350 bushel capacity ADC2350 and ADC2350B air carts. The ADC2350 is a pull-between model, while the ADC2350B is a pull-behind.
Both models are equipped with two 175 bu. poly hoppers that allow customers to fill both hoppers with seed, or one with seed and the other with fertilizer.
They include pressurized and compartmentalized meters that eliminate cross-feeding and increase planting consistency by pressurizing the seed tanks.
Both models feature an eight inch fill auger that will load and unload the hoppers.
A Dickey-John IntelliAg system monitors all variable-rate and seed-monitoring functions from the same screen.
The carts include infinite ratio gearboxes that accept GPS variable rate seeding.
