Grain funnel

The Grain Saver funnel saves time and grain. When cleaning out a bin, after the bin sweep is of no use, remaining grain can be poured or shoveled into the funnel. Nothing escapes from the bottom of the auger. A special mechanism allows easy installation and removal and also acts as a variable rate flow control to inoculate and treat seed, add or mix minerals, supplements, grass seed or fertilizer while augering from the truck of bin.

The funnel can be used to sort a grain sample while using the auger. The funnel fits 10-25 cm (four-10 inch) grain augers, airseeder augers, feed augers, feed mixer augers and seed cleaning augers.

Versatile welder

Miller Electric Mfg. Co.’s new Econotig TIG/Stick welding package allows agricultural producers to inexpensively fix their equipment and machinery. It costs between 30 and 50 percent less than other machines with similar capabilities, but Econotig can weld everything from aluminum to mild or stainless steel to cast iron.

In the TIG mode, the unit’s precise arc produces small, clean, high-penetration weld beads on material 20 gauge to four mm (3Ú16 inch) thick with no slag to chip off. TIG welding does not produce spatter. The unit has a foot control for amperage, so head can be increased or decreased as needed.

Built-in “arc assist” provides easy starts on steel and stainless steel, and automatically stabilizes the arc when welding aluminum. In Stick mode, the Econotig can weld materials starting at two mm (1Ú8 inch) thickness using two-mm stick electrodes. The Econotig weighs just 63 kg, (140 lbs) so it can be conveniently moved. It is covered by a three-year factory warranty. For a free brochure contact: Miller Electric Mfg. Co., P.O. Box 1079, Appleton, Wis., 54912; tel. 414-734-9821.
