Feeder wagons
Ram-Bull Ltd. has introduced a new line of feeder wagons.
The Apache line is available in portable or stationary models and in several sizes and lengths.
It features a vertically flexing inner rack that allows the wagon to flex while being moved. It also has a full angle-iron frame which the manufacturer says eliminates pulling stress on the feed pan.
An option is a self-locking stanchion model. Units designed for horses are also available.

Square balers
New Holland has introduced two new balers designed to provide dense, uniform bales for more efficient transport and low-cost handling in the field and at the destination. Both use precompression feeding systems that measure each plunger charge of crop for uniform bale length and density.
The model 590 four-tie unit makes bales 35 inches tall and 32 in. wide. The model 595 is a five-tie unit for 35 by 47-in. bales. Both make bales in any length from 48 to 98 in. and are designed for high capacity baling in hay, straw or silage crops.
Automatic hydraulic bale density control is provided by top and side bale chamber pressure. Monitors keep tabs on bale density, count, knotter performance, plunger strokes per stuffer stroke, plunger force, as well as pickup and packer performance.
Heavy duty fans prevent chaff buildup at the knotters to help avoid mis-ties. An independent, hydraulically driven eject system lets the operator remove the last bale for the field automatically, without leaving the tractor cab.
