Feed mix software
Weigh-Tronix and K.S. Dairy Consulting have teamed up to provide a software and equipment package for managing total mix ration feeding programs.
Weigh-Tronix’s 2015 indicator is an electronic batching indicator that interfaces with K.S. Dairy Consulting’s Feed Supervisor software.
The 2015 helps operators produce accurate batches to maintain consistent pen feedings.
The software provides a simple way to analyze scale data, allowing managers to identify and define their dairy farm’s feed-related costs.

John Deere 9020
The 9020 series is John Deere’s latest entry in the big iron class.
There are five new four-wheel-drive models ranging from 280-450 engine horsepower and three large track models with 375-450 hp.
They are equipped with the 8.1 litre Power Tech engine in the 280 hp unit and 12.5 litre engine in the higher horsepower models.
There are three transmission options including the new one-speed PowerShift with 18 forward and six reverse speeds. It has 10 gears between three and eight miles per hour. It also has automatic shifting up and down depending on field conditions.
Also available are the 12-speed syncro and 24-speed Powr-Sync transmissions.
The series is equipped with GreenStar-ready wiring harness for global positioning systems and data information gathering.
An improved lighting package is also new, as are several other features.

Infra-red heater
The DecoSchwank is an infrared tube heater with an attractive design for use in locations where industrial fixtures are inappropriate.

John Deere 8082
The new John Deere 8082 series has five models ranging from 170 to 255 power take-off horsepower.
All the models can be wheel or track driven.
All have the Power Tech 8.1 litre high-pressure common rail engine with electronic fuel injection and air-to-air intercooling. It delivers constant power down to 1500 rpm with 45 percent torque rise and 13 percent power bulge.
In the wheel models, there is the new independent link suspension that controls power hop, provides greater traction and a smoother ride.
Improvements to the transmission allow for highway speeds up to 26 mph. The tractors also have a new rear hitch, improved electrical system and double the forward illumination.
