New tractor line

The new 8030 series of tractors from John Deere consists of eight new models with horsepower ratings ranging from 180 to 275.

The tractors integrate the new PowerTech Plus 9.0 litre engine with a 16-speed PowerShift transmission or new optional Infinitely Variable Transmission. Cab enhancements include the John Deere command centre and new full-colour GreenStar displays.

The 8030 series is available in two-wheel drive, mechanical front-wheel drive, MFWD with independent link suspension and track configurations. The PowerTech Plus 9.0 litre, six-cylinder, diesel engines are designed to provide better fuel efficiency and greater power than their predecessors. Designed with four valves per cylinder, exhaust gas recirculation and a variable geometry turbo, the engines deliver power and fuel economy while meeting federal emissions standards.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The 8530, rated at 275 power take-off hp, is the most powerful row crop tractor built in the agricultural equipment industry.

Engine efficiency is further enhanced with a new cooling package, including the patented Vari-Cool fan drive and cooling system. The mechanical-type fan runs only at the necessary speed to meet the tractor’s cooling requirements.

Two transmissions are available on the 8030 series tractors. The 16-speed PowerShift is base equipment on all models except the 8530 model. This transmission has 16 forward and four reverse speeds and features automatic shifting for greater fuel efficiency under varying load conditions.

The new Infinitely Variable Transmission with right-hand reverser is base equipment on the 8530 and is optional on other 8030 series units.

Colour sorting machine

Delta Technology Corp. has appointed Middlebrook Engineering Inc. of Calgary as its exclusive

Canadian marketing agent for the Igauzu-II family of high-speed colour sorting machines including mono-chromatic, trichromatic and infrared colour sorters. Middlebrook will also provide installation, warranty and technical service for the Igauzu-II Delta products.

The sorting units clean sunflowers, lentils, flax, peas, nuts, plastics, rice, coffee, beans, sesame and any other granular commodity using dual-sided digital imaging technology.

A waterfall-like stream of falling granules or seeds is digitally scanned and processed according to colour or shade. Precision air ejectors target and shoot out rejected material. High speed cleaning and sorting of products through the Igauzu-II means products will meet strict purity and quality standards.
