No-till drills
Great Plains Manufacturing Inc. has recently redesigned its 705 and 1005 no-till drills.
The end-wheel models, which have seven and 10-foot working widths, include no-till coulters, ladders, walkboard, v-bottom dividers and a seed-level indicator.
The openers feature heavy-duty coulters, offset double disks and depth-controlling press wheels.
The company says T-handles on the press wheels are designed to make seeding depth adjustments easy and precise. The all-welded seed box can hold three bushels per foot.
Customers can choose between all-seed, fertilizer and seed, or seed and native grass configurations.

Seeder suits odd crops
Megamax has introduced a new three-point hitch seeder gang system designed for row-crop seeding.
The manufacturer believes the patent pending seeder is the first designed with small and irregular-shaped seed, such as echinacea, in mind.
The row spacing is adjustable from 38 centimetres (15 inches) to 76 cm (30 in.) or wider. Different types of seed can be planted in each row, in the same pass if desired. It comes equipped with field markers and stands.
