Hose protectors

Hydraulic hoses and fuel and oil lines can be protected by installing EPHA Hose Protectors now available from Ford New Holland. The protectors, available in 15 cm and 20 cm sizes, are installed on new hoses or wiring with three zip-ties to prevent damage at the points of contact.

The protectors are made of thermoplastic rubber and perform well at temperatures from -40¡ to 221¡C and are impervious to solvents, oils, grease, gasoline and other engine chemicals. They serve as protective shields for hoses, air lines, wiring and cables. Three protective grooves keep the fasteners from slipping off and allow the protector to shift away from the wear point. British moisture tester

The Baleman 250, a moisture and temperature tester for baled products, is fitted with stainless steel probes suitable for rough use under field conditions. The measurement unit is constructed in a hand-held box. There are two push-button switches on the side of the box – one selects moisture or temperature measurement and the other activates the measurement circuit and the digital display. The unit measures moisture contents from 10 percent to 40 percent and temperatures from -20¡ to 80¡C. Probes are comprised of a stainless steel shaft with an insulated brass tip contact. A thermistor temperature sensor is fitted inside the shaft, near the tip. Moisture measurements are obtained within two to three seconds. Probes are made in standard lengths of 25 cm, 50 cm and one metre. Blade fits Ford

Leon-Ram has introduced the A9480 dozer push, which is built to fit Ford’s new four-wheel-drive 80-series tractors. Built to fit articulating tractors, push pressure from the dozer blade is exerted from the rear of the front section of the tractor, minimizing stress and providing safe mounting. The blades are available with hydraulic angle and tilt capabilities. Contact: Leon-Ram Enterprises Ltd., 135 York St. East., Yorkton, Sask. S3N 3Z4; tel. 306-786-2600; fax. 306-782-1884.
