Waterless pulse roller

Regina’s Dutch Industries has introduced a waterless pulse roller that automatically folds and has a floating frame system to keep the unit level on uneven terrain.

The 16-metre Generation Two pulse roller weighs 8,000 kilograms, so it needs no water to flatten the soil. The weight comes from a large diameter 105-centimetre drum with a 1.2 cm thick steel roller. The company says it is moving away from water weighting because of the convenience of not having to fill and drain the unit.

It will be the only Dutch roller model offered for this and next season.

Flatbed bale handler

Hydra-Bed is a flush-design flatbed bale handler.

The synchronized bale gripping arms have a six-second load cycle.

The Hydra-Bed provides automatic side-to-side centering of loaded bales.

It can handle bales weighing up to 2,750 pounds.

The hinged arm design provides maximum bale unrolling clearance.

The arms fold flush into the floor, providing the unobstructed load space and hauling capability for the flatbed.

Hydra-Bed says it uses the heaviest main frame and thickest wall rear cross tube in the industry.

It has a line of accessories including hydraulic cube feeders and post-hole diggers.

Square baler

Agco’s New Idea division has a new line of square and rectangular balers.

There are several models in the new 7200 series.

The smaller four range from the 7205 with a 61 inch pickup and 92 strokes per minute plunger to the 7220 with a 771/2 inch four-bar pickup, hydraulic density control, three-joint equal-angle driveline and 31 by 13.5-15 tires.

All four feature centre line design that positions the baler right behind the tractor. They also have torque-limiting, overrunning clutch, chain drives throughout, adjustable pickup flotation and dual gauge wheels.

The 7233 is a larger option. It can produce 1,000 pound dry hay bales or 1,500 pound silage bales. Bales are 311/2 inches wide by 34 high by 98 inches long.

The 7235 accumulator attaches to the 7233 baler frame. Equipped with folding wings for reduced transport width, it uses the same tractor hydraulic circuits as the baler to collect one to five bales between about five and eight feet in length.
