Bin sealant
Stretch-a-seal is a new product designed to seal grain bins and elevators.
It will not harden, chip, peel or crack and it bonds permanently to concrete, wood and metal.
The sealant increases the efficiency of grain drying bins and reduces the costly spoilage of stored grain due to leaking bins, excess air and moisture. It also waterproofs whatever surface it is applied to, eliminating water damage, rust and corrosion.
Stretch-a-seal costs about 50 cents per metre when applied in the suggested 20 centimetre pattern.

Supertech grain moisture tester
Husson Inc. recently released its Supertech 3000 Grain Moisture Tester with built-in grinder.
The fully digital tester with two-line LCD display shows the result of the immediate test and at the same time displays the average of several previous tests which it automatically calculates. It has an easy calibration system that can adjust readings plus or minus five percent to match the calibration of the local elevator. The calibrations are stored in the memory.
The display is lit so it can be read more easily, and the light shuts down automatically after four minutes if the tester is inactive.
The manufacturer offers a two-year warranty on the tester that is designed to be used in the field and at the grain dryer on the farm.
It comes with a steel brush for cleaning, a battery and a shockproof carrying case.
